Tournament on Lake Dardanelle
Alan Petlak and Greg Meador Win on Lake Dardanelle!!!
Story Provided by Ron Plate
32 teams braved the heat and humidity for the next to last tournament for
the 2010 season. With the air temp’s in the low 100’s and water temps in the
low 90’s most of the fisherman expected a rough day of fishing after the
morning bite as over. And in most cases this was the case except for the
team of Alan Petlak and Greg Meador who caught them early and continued
to catch them thru-out the day. With a winning sack of 18.21 lbs they out
distanced the 2nd place team by more than 4lbs.
1st Place Team of Alan Petlak/Greg Meador said they had a limit by 6:45
and culled 8 fish thru out the day. They said they caught their fish early on
spinnerbaits and then culled during the day using a frog.
2nd place
2nd Place team of Dave Daves / William Fitzgerald said they caught their
fish using a Strike King rage shad. They had a weight of 13.87 lbs.
3rd place
3rd Place team of John Hatcher / Jerry Watkins had a weight of 13.23 lbs.
They caught their fish on crankbaits. They also had the “Mule of the Day”
with a bass that went 5.85 lbs.
Balance of the top ten was:
4. Quincy Houchin/Jason Knight - 12.51 lbs
5. David Hargett/Jack Wood - 12.16 lbs
6. Ken Kaczmarek/Ted Hiegle - 11.93 lbs
7. Glen Clement/Steve Howard - 11.57 lbs
8. Jeff Stewart/Kyle Prater - 11.35 lbs
