"In the Boat" presented by Jewel Bait Company
Angler: Terrance Narveson
Tournament: TBF State Championship
Place: 10th (Qualified for the State Team)

I was ready after the delay from Friday and with no practice and the lake fishing tough I knew it was
going to be a struggle. We were greeted with 37 degree temperatures in the morning but at least
the wind was calm. Our first stop was Newton bay and there were more boats in there then fish it
seemed. I had a couple of bites but missed both of them. I really think they were small fish and I was
rusty so of course I have to give some excuse. The next stop was Mill Creek and after fishing all the
way into the back I caught my first keeper on a War Eagle spinnerbait. We made our way back out
toward the bridges and at the 64 bridge I caught a keeper Kentucky at 9am  and thought there was
hope for the day. We made a run to strip pits and made our way around the points with no bites
and as we were making our way toward the mouth I caught a solid 4lb keeper. This would be my last
fish of the day but not for lack of trying. It seemed like the fish are confused
as much as the anglers. The water temperature varied from 55 in the morning to close to 60 in the
afternoon. I was glad to finish tenth and qualify for the regional and it should be an interesting
tournament in June.
